The Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635) is a glowing emission nebula in Cassiopeia about 7,100 light-years away. This image was captured with my Celestron Edge HD 8 using Antlia 3 nm narrowband filters over 9.5 hours of integration. It’s one of my favorite fall astrophotography targets and a beautiful challenge for deep-sky imaging.
Capturing The Triangulum Galaxy M33
I imaged the Triangulum Galaxy using my AT115EDT telescope and ZWO ASI533MM camera. Learn more about how I did this and how I processed it in Pixinsight.
NGC 7822 Mosaic: The Cosmic Question Mark
Is there a big question-mark-like structure in space? It’s hard to imagine, but that’s exactly what NGC 7822 and SH2-170 together create: a Cosmic Question Mark.
The Elephant Trunk Nebula
The Elephant Trunk Nebula is a massive object located in the constellation Cepheus. It’s a great beginner astrophotography object and a cornerstone of anybody who gets into this hobby.
Pacman Nebula NGC 281
To create the Pacman Nebula NGC 281, I shot 11 hrs of data and used a dynamic narrowband combination in Pixinsight.
The Wizard Nebula (NGC 7380)
Last year I photographed NGC 7380 in color, this year I shot mono. I compare my Wizard Nebula mono photo to last year’s color photo.
