In-between projects, I decided to take a break from shooting 10+ hour nebulas and shoot something that will only take me 1 night–a star cluster. Learn more how I created this photo.
Capturing The Triangulum Galaxy M33
I imaged the Triangulum Galaxy using my AT115EDT telescope and ZWO ASI533MM camera. Learn more about how I did this and how I processed it in Pixinsight.
M13: Third Time’s the Charm
M13 or The Great Hercules Cluster is the most well-known globular cluster in the universe. I like it so much, this was my 3rd time doing it!
Shooting Pleiades in Light Pollution
I shoot in light polluted skies outside New York City and although the Pleiades stars are bright, capturing its accompanying dust and reflection nebula is a challenge.
M5
Over 13 billion years old and 25,000 light years away, M5 is one of the oldest astronomy objects in our universe.
The Hercules Cluster
The Hercules Cluster was the first astrophotography target I fell in love with. I finally got the right equipment to shoot it properly a year later.
M81 & M82 Galaxy Pair
My first galaxy pair taken with my new Astro-Tech AT115EDT telescope. There were some challenges, but overall, I think it came out awesome.
NGC 2903 Galaxy
NGC 2903 is one of the first galaxies to kick off galaxy season in the northeast. I shot this on my AT115EDT refractor and ASI533MM camera.
The Pleiades (2022)
Taken in December 2022 – January 2023, this was my first picture of The Pleiades which is also my (and many other photographers) favorite thing in the sky.
The Horsehead and Flame Nebula
The Horsehead and Flame Nebula is a classic winter target and one of the most beautiful targets in astrophotography. I took this on my Redcat 51 with an ASI533MM mono camera which I believe framed this target perfectly.
