The Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635) is a glowing emission nebula in Cassiopeia about 7,100 light-years away. This image was captured with my Celestron Edge HD 8 using Antlia 3 nm narrowband filters over 9.5 hours of integration. It’s one of my favorite fall astrophotography targets and a beautiful challenge for deep-sky imaging.
Messier 92: Processing a Globular Cluster from ASIAir to Pixinsight
M92, IMO, is the must beautiful globular cluster. It’s beauty surpasses even the Hercules Cluster (Messier 13). In this post is a guide on processing M92 in Pixinsight. There is also an accompanying video of me shooting this outside with my Celestron Edge HD 8″.
Messier 13: The Great Globular Cluster in Hercules
I’ve taken the Hercules Cluster 4 times and I will likely do it every year as long as I do astrophotography. See all my iterations of it from 2022- 2025.
Celestron Edge HD 8 – First Impressions from My Backyard
My first hands-on video review of the Celestron 8″ EdgeHD for astrophotography. Learn about how SCTs like this telescope differ from refractors, why they are a better value at longer focal lengths, the accessories you’ll need, and challenges like collimation and off-axis guiding if you are coming from a refractor.
